I appreciate the difficulty of this task and invite you get browse my website. Research consistently shows that a good "fit" between a counselor and client is one of the best predictors of a positive outcome. If you try counseling, you will know if its working within the first 3-5 sessions. Some people need just a handful of sessions to get back to their old selves, others choose to stay involved to deepen their growth. Whichever you choose is up to you, but taking the first step is most important.
